Salihiyya, Sheikh Muhyi al-Din, Muhajirin

The area along the foot of the Qasiun mountain, now known as Muhyi Din, was originally named Salihiyya after the salihin of Bani Qudamah that lived there. The Umawi rulers had their summer residence there. It has hosted generations of immigrants through the century, refugees from from al-Quds, Kurds, Russians, Turks. Numerous graveyards are located in this area.
