Ibn `Umar Abu Idris
al-Khawlani (b. 8 - d.

أبو إدريس عائذ الله بن عبد الله بن عمر الخوالني الدمشقي، التابعي
Faqih, wa`izh, who preached sternly to
the people of Damascus during the caliphate of Abd al-Malik. Al-Dhahabi
called him "the scholar of the people of Sham".
Should not be confused with Abu Muslim al-Khawlani (yamini tabi`i
buried in Rum) [ZaSh p. 130] |
