Sheikh Nasr ibn
Ibrahim al-Muqaddam al-Maqdisi al-Nablusi (d. 490 H.) Shafi`i faqih and hadith
narrator, immigrated to Damascus from
al-Quds. Student of Salim ibn Ayyub al-Razi, one of the teachers of
imam
al-Ghazali.

Buried at Bab al-Saghir by the side of sayyiduna Abu Darda'. Imam al-Nawawi mentions in his Tahdhib al-asma' that du`a is answered at his grave on Saturdays. The scholars of Damascus experienced this and they used to gather at his grave at fajr time on Saturday mornings. |
